CCGs visiting local shopping centres and holding public events
Local NHS organisations, North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), are holding 5 public workshop events and will be at local markets and shopping centres across northern Staffordshire to let people know more about the proposed changes they are consulting on:
- Community-based services in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Moorlands
- Community hospital beds available for rehabilitation
- Some of the consultant-led outpatients clinics such as outpatients appointments for skin conditions.
The consultation will last for 14 weeks, finishing on Sunday 17 March 2019.
Three events will be held next week:

Marcus Warnes, Accountable Officer for the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent CCGs said: ‘It is really important for as many people as possible to respond to the consultation survey. This is why we are holding a number of events and getting out into the local community to talk to people and make them aware of what we are proposing and how they can have their say.
“In addition to our public workshop events and stands at local shopping centres, we are also visiting local community group meetings, voluntary sector meetings such as the local VAST group and resident’s association meetings as well as holding small focus groups with representatives of vulnerable people.”
The CCGs are encouraging people to attend one of the 5 public workshop events where people can:
- Find out more about the consultation and why change is needed
- Give their views on key questions
- Join the discussion and add their voice to consultation feedback.
These events are being held at venues that have been selected and tested with community representatives to ensure they are as accessible as possible and provide as many people as possible with the chance to attend.
